The 2018 winner’s list was revealed today and is featured in an exclusive magazine published by The Globe and Mail.
This year is the competition’s sixth edition, seeking to highlight SMEs that perform excellently based on a multi-tiered evaluation. The evaluation is based on eight criteria, the same that is used for large companies featured in the Canada’s Top 100 Employers project: (1) Physical Workplace; (2) Work Atmosphere & Social; (3) Health, Financial & Family Benefits; (4) Vacation & Time Off; (5) Employee Communications; (6) Performance Management; (7) Training & Skills Development; and (8) Community Involvement. The eligibility of a company is determined based on the definition of a SME by Statistics Canada: a private-sector company with under 500 employees worldwide.
